The 2017 Junior High School English Speech Contest was held on September 22nd at the Nagareyama City Lifetime Learning Center. Five students from Seibudai Chiba Junior High School joined this year’s contest They are Roko Manaka and Yuuto Takeshita (1st Year Recitation), Kaho Sakurai (2nd Year Recitation), Mio Yamaguchi (3rd Year Recitation) and Wakaba Harigaya (Speech). Miss Harigaya received the Third-Prize for her speech titled, “To Participate or Not to Participate, That Is the Question”. Congratulations to Wakaba and all the Seibudai students who gave their best effort and did a fantastic job!

On October 4th, 2017, four Seibudai High School students participated in the Kashiwa Region English Speech Contest at Toyo Gakuen University in Minami Nagareyama. This year’s speakers were Yuka Ito (1st Year Reading), Laouini Mai Kumamoto (1st Year Recitation), Sena Nemoto (2nd Year Recitation), and Hiroto Nakamura (2nd Year Speech). Miss Kumamoto received the Third-Prize for her recitation of “Sleeping Beauty”. All the students enjoyed the experience and did wonderfully.
